Ms Paula Bass Institute of Professional Development 6-Day Winter Refresher Course for the teachers of KG and of Classes1 to 7

In Feb 2011, a 6- Day Refresher course was conducted for the teachers of KG and of classes up to seven of Modernage and some other seven schools of Hazara.

Following Plenary sessions were held:-

1. Strategic Time Management (Ms Amber Shaheen) 2. Seven habits of Highly Effective People (Ms. Qudsia Bano) 3. Job Description of a teacher (Mrs Sumeera Wahid) 4. Stress Management

(Ms. Gul Bibi) 5. Managing Students Houses and Clubs (Mrs. Shehlla Zulfiqar Khan) 6. Good Kids- Bad Behaviour (Ms Sadaf Nazir from Sahil Jeet) 7. Team Building (Mrs Aatika Salam)

Eight concurrent sessions were held

1. Teaching of Oxford Primary Science (Ms Tayyaba Aqeel from OUP) 2. Teaching of Urdu

(Mrs Waheeda Ashfaq) 3. Teaching paraphrase in Urdu (Mr. Aamer Sohail) 4. Teaching orthographical forms of Urdu letters in cursive writing (Mr Adel Saeed Qureshi) 5. Teaching of poetry vis-e-vis teaching of prose (Mr Aamer Sohail) 6. Needs Analysis of the skills of Reading and Listening (Ms Noor- ul- Ain Zahid) 7. Needs Analysis of Speaking skills 8. Needs Analysis of the skills of Writing and Grammar 9. Special sessions for the teachers of Kindergarten:
