Juniors` Joy 2011

The purpose of education is to develop the personality of students and to prepare them to face the challenges of present day world. This aim can only be achieved when we as educationists provide them an opportunity to interact with students of their age and indulge in creative activities.

Keeping in view this idea, Modernage Public School & College, Abbottabad organised an event for the students of primary level on 21st of May,2011. The name Juniors` Joy was given to this event.

About 400 students and 200 teachers from 37 school from Abbottabad, Mansehra, Baffa, Havelian, Khanpur, Haripur, Hassababad, Wah Cantt, Buner, Multan, DI Khan, D.G Khan and Mansehra participated in the event.

The Keynote Speakers invited were Ms. Ghazala Shah (an Educationist, School Inspector & Psychologist from Development in Hiteracy Islamabad) and Ms. Manizah Bano (Executive Director of Sahil Jeet, Islamabad.

The mega event was a success due to the efforts of the teachers and students of Modernage of primary level under the supervision of principal Mr. Abdul Wahid Mir. The students from different schools participated in 6 competitions like Collage Making, Craft Making, Water Colouring, Card Making, Folk Tale Telling Competitions & Poem Recitation. The students participated enthusiastically. In the end there was a prize distribution ceremony. Over all 1st prize was given to Army Burnhall College for Girls, 2nd position was taken by Jinnah Basic School & College, Mansehra and Bahria College Haripur stood 3rd . Overall the function was a great success.
